Pics Camping Happy Jack Area. 8/15/09

The family and I hooked up with a few friends for camping last W/E. The plan was for a tent camp W/E but the wife wanted to go so we took the trailer instead. We went up around an area (Lost Eden) I usally hunt Elk in near Happy Jack Az. Did a little bit of driving around on the forest roads and some light wheeling on the smaller trails. Nothing to hard but it would make a great run with a few challenges for new Jeepers.

I'm also going to post a camping trip and Jeep run up there for Labor Day W/E if anybody is intrested then watch for the post. Here are a few pictures from the W/E.

My Heep with one of my friends kids driving it.

    Long Lake.

    Arizona Trail

    Camp Fire

Only a kid can sleep like this.

Oh I left out a hello for this Jeep if he is a member. He had another clubs sticker on his Jeep but the Jeep looks familar like I've saw it before on a run.

Anyway Hello and here is your wave.

Looks like a great trip. That area is where went camping over memorial day. Planning the same for labor day. Maybe I'll see you there.

About how long of a drive is Blue Ridge from Fountain Hills? And keep posting camping runs. I'm gonna go one of these times when I can work it out.

LJYJ.....Yes 2 more Jeeps are in my near future. One for my 14 year old and another for my 11 year old. They both want Jeeps. I plan on buying a new one maybe next year for myself. I will still keep my CJ though.

Yes the Lake is Blue Ridge up on the rim and it will take you about 2.5 to 2.75 hours from Mesa to get there.

As for another run coming soon. When I'm done posting this I'm going to post up the run and camping trip for Labor Day W/E in the same area.......Lets all go!

The truck is 7880 Lbs, the trailer is about 6000 Lbs loaded, and the Trl and Jeep is about 4500 Lbs combined. So all in all 18,380 Lbs Gross.

Pulls it no problem but stopping is another story, you have to drive smart and have brakes on all axles.
