Raw Deal is a short trail in a wash in the Table Mesa area. It offers a little bit of something for everybody. Many of the obstacles can be taken with varying degrees of difficulty, and a couple can be bypassed. The are several bedrock cracks to negotiate, as well as a few rock ledges, varying sized boulders, and ledges.
While considered an easy trail, there are obstacles that can be enjoyed by most anyone. Lots of people use this trail as a way to introduce people new rock crawling to more extreme rock crawling. Many experienced people use it as a good shake down run for new modifications.
The trail can be run in 20-30 minutes. There is an exit out of the wash to the left. Continuing in the wash enters Upper Raw Deal.
This wash like most in the Bradshaw foothills runs very vigorously during or after a rainfall.
